Two things have been affecting my skin lately. One is pregnancy. Luckily - I am one of the lucky ones who doesn’t get break outs during pregnancy. My skin actually looks it’s very best when I’m pregnant! If only I could keep that when the nine months were over.
The main thing I am noticing is I am starting to age whether I like it or not. I have a hard time believing and admitting that I’m almost 37 but I am. And years of sun worship are beginning to show. Also years of not taking care of my skin.
I used to have pretty oily skin but I’ve noticed it’s not dry - especially in the winter.
So I have been using the Olay Total Effects for a few weeks and I have noticed my skin is looking healthier. I've really noticed my pores are looking smaller and my face just looks more smooth over all. It's amazing how just after a few days - I honestly see a difference. I guess all this time of not using a moisturizer or any kind of skin care has been a big waste. It's great how one simple product that it isn't expensive - can do the job of a whole skin care line.
I took these two pictures about two weeks apart - from the first day I started using Total Effects. You may not be able to tell a huge difference - but I can see it. I'm not wearing makeup in the second picture and I am in the first and my skin appears a lot smoother. I love it!
What are you skin issues? I’d love to hear and one of you who leaves a comment will win a $100 visa gift card from BlogHer.

my biggest skin issue is I still have monthly breakouts. I've been using a few different Burt's Bees products that have been helping a lot more than the neutrogena I had been using.
I agree with you, Kelly. My skin looks best when I'm pregnant. (And my hair too)
My skin is very dry. I've tried tons of products but not this one yet. I will have to go get me some and see how it works for me.
My biggest skin issue right now is this little patch of eczema to the right of my mouth that I can't seem to shake. I've tried everything and now I'm having to use a prescription oil medication to try to get rid of it. The biggest issue with the oil is it smells and tastes yucky. I'm always kissing on my kiddos and I hate to even touch them with my cheek/face because of the oil. Yuck!

I have PCOS, and I've had issues all my life with breakouts. Finally I've found a great face wash and use Mario Bedasco wash & toner. I love it, but I'm looking for something new to help with aging, sun spots and acne scars. This sounds like a great product. PS- I too love my skin when I was pregant!
My biggest skin issue would be dry skin (thanks winter weather in AR). I have tried different products and nothing seems to work except putting good old Vaseline on at night and who wants that all over your face while laying next to your honey! haah!
I have a mixture of oily and dry problems! Depends on the weather! I hate it!
My biggest skin problem is that it is combo skin. Oily and dry all at the same time. Yuck.

My skin is red and blotchy, makeup covers it up. But who wants to put makeup on ALL the time. Might have to consider trying this....
My skin is horrible, partly because of a rare immunodeficiency I was born with called Job's Syndrome, but it is just generally oily, itchy, and broken out...washing only makes it start peeling to boot. I have tried a little bit of everything over the years though.
I have a lot of dryness in the winter, so I would sya that is my biggest problem!

My skin is Very dry, and the winter time make is extremly dry. I love to put lotion on it at night but i have problems trying to find the right one!
I have many issues! I breakout every month, have dry skin which becomes oily on my face, and dark spots, ugh! If this is reasonably priced I may have to give it a try!

I have some crazy oily skin. I use Arbonne for now but when that runs out I will try this:)
I have those horrible monthly breakouts! I would love to see if this would help.
I recently stopped taking birth control, because we're trying to conceive. My skin is so oily now, and I have a huge pimple on my chin! It's not the "bump" I had in mind when I stopped taking my birth control!
My biggest problem is I have dry skin and get breakouts! It's hard to find a product that fights the dry without aggravating the acne issues.
I live in CO where it is SO dry. I am always looking for a new lotion that works!
oh goodness, my biggest skin problem is that my pores are rather on the large side. I've tried various treatments but nothing seems to ever help. I want to try Olay now after seeing how well you like it!
I have pretty normal skin, but very dry/red cheeks so I'm constantly looks for moisturizer and foundation that make my skin tone more even!
I have combo skin!! Oily in some parts, dry in others! Makes it pretty hard to treat :(
My skin just has an uneven tone and I also have huge pores. I would love to get rid of both! Olay Total Effects is going on my Christmas lift for sure!
I have a mixture of oily and dry skin on my face. UGH! I am always switching moisturizers and can't ever find one that I am satisfied. Would love glowing skin. :)
My biggest skin issues are that I am oily but dry at the same time. If I clean my face to often it will break out and vice versa.
Dry skin is my problem.

My biggest issue is oily/dry combination skin!!
My biggest problem is my Rosacea. My face gets Red and Blotchy my daughter once said it was okay because it made me look like Santa.

My biggest skin issue is ACNE! I'm in my late 20's and have had consistent break-outs since my early teens. I've tried most everything under the sun and most products work for a week or so then it's back to the old breakouts. I've honestly never used any Olay products besides the original Oil of Olay and their body wash (which I love!) but would love to give it a shot!
I tweeted!!

My skin definitely gets dryer in the winter time! I might have to try this out. :)
I hate the fact that I have combination skin! It's oily, yet it's dry and flaky! I can't win for losing!!! I have lots of problems trying to find something that works!!
I get monthly breakouts :(
It's a hormonal thing and I've tried almost everything. It's been getting better over the years, so I hope that someday soon it will just stop.
My biggest skin issue is my huge pores. I really need something that works well for those....
Ugh, I have a constant battle with acne. Apparently it'll never go away - even my grandmother still has it!
Always love to try new products!
Christina62583@gmail.com
I'm just a few months from 40 and I'm noticing my pores getting larger. Not welcome!
I get dry skin in the winter! I'm a huge fan of Olay products!!
Dry skin constantly haunts my face! I work such a crazy schedule at a 911 center and going to school really puts the "work" on my face!
My skin gets so dry on my face especially around eyebrows and nose..
I would love to win. I have struggled with eczema on my hands for my whole life! 29 years! It gets worse when the weather is dry and I have to wash my hands more...ie-this time of year! I also have three little ones with one more on the way, so I wash my hands often. A few things have helped, but nothing works for long.

My skin is really dry in the winter so I have to keep it moisturized or it starts burning!
I have such a long beauty routine I think I’m embarrassed. Everyday I brush and floss my teeth and use mouthwash, (true story) I wash my face with Neutrogena every morning, then I apply Aveeno moisturizer, and a foundation Primer, then foundation and concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lipgloss. Phew! I guess you could say I’m not a natural beauty!
My skin is dry! I always want to try new things~
my skin is usually pretty dry except through my t zone. i need to start taking better care of it!
My skin is so sensitive and dries out easily in the winter. Heat in cars and wind outside instantly turn it red!
I have very fair skin and struggle with rosacea. I started having eye problems as well and the opthamologist diagnosed ocular roseaca as well, where the inflamation from the roscea inflames eyelids and impairs the eyelid's ability to produce oil. I have to keep the rosacea on the face under control to prevent the eyes from getting worse. I have to use very mild soaps and conditioners, so I feel that my pores are rather large.
I've been wondering if these products work well. I've a 57 yo woman who STILL has oily skin (and large pores, ick). Now I'm really wanting to give Total Effects a try!
Laurie
I am not one of the lucky ladies with flawless skin. I actually struggle with it all the time. I still get break outs in my 30's, ick!
part dry- part oily and need sunscreen-r round
I gave up makeup- foundation and have to get used to a new routine

I don't break out very much but I do have some bumpy issues on my forehead..which drives me nuts! I've tried so many things to try and clear it up but nothing works. I would LOVE to see if this would do the trick or not! My mother used Olay products for many, many years. She always received compliments on how young she looked and how great her skin was. Honestly! I love the smell of Olay because it reminds me of her!

I have uneven skin tones...so it seems I have to use mulitiple products to blend and even out the redness.
I have oily skin which I'm hoping will pay off and keep my younger looking longer. ;-)
I have to confess that at 43 I have not taking skin care seriously. I used to have oily skin but now it tends to be dry especially around my chin area. I would love to try Olay Effects to see if it would even out my combination skin.

Having hypothyroidism has really killed my skin. It's dry AND oily - ugg! I get blemishes now, when I didn't much as a teenager. I especially breakout by my nose and chin. Thanks for this review!!

At 34, I am still breaking out!! I HATE it!
I turned 40 this year & wanted to start really fighting the signs of ageing! I use Mary Kay Timewise products & have seen a big difference in the softness & overall health of my skin! Hydration is important in keeping the wrinkles away!
I have a few skin issues. I have breakouts still even though I am in my 30's. :-( I have normally had very oily skin, but I am noticing as I get older, that my skin is drying out, and my pores are starting to get bigger too. I really need to get into some sort of beauty routine before my skin starts to pass the point of no return.
Splotchy dry spots, use a moisterizer and it's too oily but go without and your flaky...I need a miracle. :) HA!
I really need to start a facial routine. I'm getting closer to 40 and I'm going to regret not taking care of my skin. Hope I win!
My problem is that my skin is dry and when I try most facial lotions they cause the breakouts. I'm in my early 40's and it seems like I should have figured this out by now! Ha.

My skin is super oily, but like you...I've been experiencing lots of dryness, too. I can't seem to find the right products to balance those two things out. Therefore, I want to try the Total Effects!
My biggest problem is my forehead and chin area. They both seem to break out easily for no reason and I haven't been able to find a cleanser yet that isn't harsh to my skin or one that doesn't dry it out.
My skin is oily and crow's feet and dark circles, and the list goes on and on.
MCantu1019@aol.com
I have actually been blessed with very good skin. I have the occasional small breakout but overall very few issues. It always drives me crazy that skin care products have "Oily" and "Dry" but never just a "Normal" option!
my skin issue is breakouts and uneven skin tones. it's not fun trying to blend makeup when you have red-blotchy skin!
My skin tone is uneven and breakouts are a problem also.
My skin issues are dryness and uneven blotchy skin.
I am breaking out so bad lately and I don't feel like I'm doing anything different! I try not to wear too much make up beside on my eyes and lips and would love my skin to just look good without it... is that what getting older does?!
My biggest skin issue is dryness....like the Sahara Desert. HA!
Melissa
i have uneven skin!
I love Olay products! My face is horribly dry and painful in the winter and their face wash really helps with that.
I have uneven skin tones and the occasional breakout.

DRY DRY DRY! That is my skin!
I have the typical oily t-zone, and it drives me crazy. The rest of my face is very dry in the winter!
I have combo skin and dark spots:(

My skin issue is that it gets SO dry, especially in the winter months!
I have terribly dry skin and rosacea. Couple that with the fact that I rarely get out of bed in time to apply any make-up and I'm just a treat to look at. Haha!
My skin is extremely dry and crackly during the winter, but I often don't do much about it.
I would love to win. My skin is dry and I'm 30 and pregnant with my third!
My skin is more oily. Hate the shine!
My face is dry, but I still get the treat of monthly breakouts! I've actually been using Olay complete cream recently and really like it!
My biggest skin issues when it comes to my face is that parts of it are greasy and other parts are a tad on the dry side. My beauty facial routine is simple - warm wash cloth.
Overall I have very dry skin, especially in the winter. And, in the summer, I'm prone to small breakouts. I've got to exfoliate more often. I think it would help!
I live in Ohio and the dry, cold winter air makes my face tight and dry. I'm excite to try the Olay!
I've got dry skin! I can't stand it. I only have skin problems with my face and legs. So many things make them break out or dry them out. I am going to have to try this and see how it works.
My biggest issue is larger pores around my nose. I like using a really light exfoliating scrub and a gentle moisturizer.
My biggest skin issue is dry skin, especially in winter!! I will have to try this out.
My skin is very oily, especially my t-zone. Haven't had much luck finding a product that works.
My biggest problem is dry skin.

My skin is dry and oily at the same time. I have acne and then I have dry areas. I need a good face cream that will hydrate my face, but won't make it break out.
My main skin issue is break outs! When will my skin realize I'm 27 not 17! Ha.
I have oily skin.....with huge pores. I wish I could find something that would minimize my pores. Any suggestions? Anyone? :)
My biggest problem is sun damage.
barelytogether at yahoo dot com
My biggest skin issue is how sensitive my skin is. Moisturizers, soaps, and make-up all have to be very sensitive and contain almost no chemicals. I end up spending quite a bit of money for the organic stuff but it's worth it in the end!
I'd love to win! My wedding is coming up and I need this!
I too have always had oily skin but am noticing the older I get (I am 35)the more dry it is becoming. I need to try this product!
kthompson@graceba.net
I do not have great skin even at 40 so I am always looking for the best moisturizer. I will definitely try this one!
I have combo skin so it's difficult, my t-zone is oily and everywhere else is so dry!
I have rosacia, so I have to use a prescription face wash and very mild moisturizer.
I'd actually like to win so that my mom can try this!
My biggest skin problem is my combination skin. I just don't know what to use on it!!!
My biggest problem is that I have very dry skin. I use Olay face wash but haven't tried Total Effects. I'll have to give it a try.
my skin gets SO dry in the winter.. ah!
My biggest skin issue is some oiliness in the t zone and dark circles under my eyes. I can tell a difference in your 2 pictures. I look forward to trying out this new product!
I have dry skin, so I feel as if my face never looks smooth as it could, even with makeup. I hate it, I have tried all different kinds of lotions and makeups and I still haven't found my favorite.
I too feel my hair is fuller and my skin is smooth and glowing when pregnant!
my biggest skin issue is splotchiness... I wish i had my oldest daughter's skin
My biggest skin issue is adult acne and very large pores. I just started using the reginerist and really like it.

I have oretty good skin exceot for dryness in the winter.
My biggest problem is very dry skin...and all of the fine lines that have started appearing over the last year or so!!!

Dry skin in the winter around here! Olay has great products...love them!
Let's see...my biggest skin issue is finding some kind of moisturizer that doesn't break my skin out. I'm 33 and really need to start moisturizing. Maybe I'll try the Olay Total Effects.
I don't really have any skin issues. Just would like to stop the fine lines. :)
My skin gets so dry in the winter!
My skin is SO dry right now! I need help!
My baby is 7 months old and she made a mess of my skin! Of course, she was worth it, but pregnancy made me a broken out mess and I'm still getting things back in order. :)
I'm 45 and I've noticed that my skin looks dull in the winter. It's still oily and I exfoliate but there seems to be no life to it these days.
My biggest problem is combination skin! So, I might be totally broken out on my forehead, but have majorly dry cheeks. I haven't found a great skincare line that will take care of the problem without leaving me superly dry or insanely oily. I need to go try out the Olay Total Effects!
Oil, breakouts, and pores OH MY! I actually never had skin issues until halfway through college...and they seem to have gotten worse with age. So aggravating! I would also love to find something that really makes dark under eye circles go away. I've tried so many things and after an entire bottle is gone I can't even tell a difference.
You look awesome by the way!
The weather definitely affects my skin....as the seasons change, so does my skin. Overall, I've been really happy with my skincare and can't go day without using a mild face wash. About once a week I use a microdermabrasion at-home cleanser/skin renewal program...what a world of difference. But, I have to agree that my skin looks its best during pregnancy :)
My skin is very dry especially during the winter. I am eager to try the Olay product since reading your review. Maybe it will help me get out of wearing makeup everyday!
I will try this! My skin is so blotchy & I need help! susanstanley58@gmail.com
I have monthly breakouts.I seems like my skin is clear the first week of the month and then goes on a toward spiral. Use Dove for a cleanser and a moisturizer. I usually use Oil of Olay, but I am using Mary Kay right now that someone gave me.
My skin is very dry and the older I get the more I seem to keep dry patches. I've tried a couple of different moisturizers and I'm now going to have to try the Olay brand stuff. Thanks for sharing!
My biggest problem is super dry skin in the winter. I am constantly moisturizing but still seem to have flaky skin.

I have two skin issues right now...I am pregnant and breaking out. Not major just a little but, it is annoying! The other is right around my chin I have small white bumps. You can't see them but I know they are there! What is it?!?!?
My biggest skin problem has always been dryness. In the winter and summer, my skin becomes so dry that it will actually become flaky! I especially get patches of dryness on my cheeks and around my lips.
I have tried Eucerin cream in the past, but I would love something lighter for during the day.
My skin is so oily, I feel like my makeup is falling off by the end of the day!!!
My skin is very confused! I just had a baby and my hormones are all over the place. Spots of my skin are breaking out and other spots are dry and flaky! Your skin looks great Kelly! I guess I should give Olay a try too...
I have oily skin, redness on my cheeks & now it's getting cooler I am noticing a little dry patches too. I will have to try this product!
My skin's biggest issues are monthly break outs and dry skin, especially during the Winter months.
My skin goes from oily to dry all the time. Its so hard to predict what it will be like. The only thing that keeps me from breaking out is using regular bar soap, but I know that is terrible for my skin! Your skin looks marvelous!
My biggest issue is that it's such combination skin, so I'm oily yet dry, and it dries me crazy. I would love to find a product that will be a perfect balance.
rlh.harvey@gmail.com
I have a major black head problem on my nose! Thank goodness for makeup! :)
My issues are VERY dry skin in the winter, and I have HUGE pores on my chin. I've tried several products, but they have dried my chin out so badly that it starts peeling.

Well I'm older than you Kelly so I hope that makes you feel a tad better :-)Hahah! I was lucky as a teenager and really have had more problems w/ my skin as an adult ...not sure how wrinkle and acne can be allowed at same time! bggianakos@yahoo.com
My skin is very dry in the winter...and dark spots are appearing on my face. Getting older is not making me glow!
My biggest issue is dry skin. The cold and wind don't help much! That and dark circles under my eyes, but I'm sure that's from lack of sleep!
My skin gets drier in the winter. WIll have to try a new product!
My biggest issue is that my skin is dry... this sounds like a product I want to try out though!
My skin issue is a couple break outs here and there! I hate them! I didnt have any when I was a teen and now all of a sudden I have 1 or 2 pimples! BAH!
I am totally going to try this stuff! I can tell the difference in your picture! YOU ARE SO CUTE!
My biggest skin issue would be puffiness around the eyes. I, like you, have spent years loving the sun and at the same time, not moisturizing my skin in any way. So I guess that's really two issues, puffiness and neglected skin. I love hearing that there is a product out there and I will give it a try.
Thanks!
lately i've been having a few dry patches on my cheeks, i hate it :( maybe this product could help?!? and you are beautiful, in every pic i've ever seen!
My skin always redish and in winter it drys out...would love to try this product.
I definitely am in the dry skin boat especially with this cold winter air.
My bigget issue is breakouts especially around my period. I try to use moisturizer everyday but sometimes I just forget. This may be a good option.
Erikaealba@aol.com
Who knew pregnancy would help all of my skin issues! I have combination skin, but throughout the pregnancy my skin has been wonderful. Makes me a little nervous about what is going to happen after I have my baby girl... if only it could stay this way!
My skin is very dry in the winter...and dark spots are appearing on my face. Getting older is not making me glow!
I have terrible combination skin, super dry in some spots and incredibly oily in others...and gotta love the occasional breakout too :(
I have monthly breakouts and undereye circles.
I use the Olay products because my mother did. She always had the most beautiful skin. My skin is spotty oily here dry there so this brand works well for me.
My skin is very dry and itchy in the winter. I will have to give this a try...
PS Harper is ADORABLE!
My issues are wrinkles around my eyes...lots of sun damage from my college years:) I have dry skin too so that doesn't help either...would love to win!
I have terrible acne at the lovely age of 26. Had no problems until I tured 26. Trying out the clinique ACNE line...pray it works :)

My skin is so dry, and I break out all of the time. I was hoping that would end once I got into college, and no such luck. It can be pretty embarrassing. Obviously the skin care products I have been using are not working, but I've been afraid to use anything new because I don't want to make my skin worse! Any help would be appreciated!
I am 27 but sometimes look like a teenager with the breakouts I get! :)
At the moment I have incredibly dry skin due to pregnancy and possibly the ultra cold weather, otherwise my skin is usually very good to me :)
My biggest issue is rosy cheeks! I never have to wear blush. I can cover it pretty easily with makeup, but it still drives me crazy:) I also have dry skin, especially in the winter.
my biggest problem is that I am 27 years old and still break out like a teenager. Ugh I hate it!
My biggest problem is oily skin!
My biggest skin issue is that I have a lot of acne scars from my younger days, plus I have somewhat oily skin. It is hard to cover the scars with makeup due to the oil on my skin. I would love a product that would help lighten the scars.
I still get breakouts ever now and then...usually always around that time of the month. It's a pain in the butt and something I wish would stop!
I have very dry and sensitive skin. I have psoriasis so I have to be very careful in treating my skin.

good luck everyone!
My biggest skin issue is that it is oily, but then in the winter it is oily AND dry/peeling, if that makes sense!
Combination skin that is really sensitive is my biggest issue!
I'm 46 years old and still have pretty good skin, except that it is looking older, especially under my eyes. I have fair skin and burn easily in the sun, so I don't have a lot of sun damage - just regular old wrinkles.
I have combination skin and it's the worst!
My biggest skin issue are the large pores on my nose.

My skin is in the inbetween stages right now. It still wants to act like a teenager, but it wants to show wrinkles as well! It's so hard to find something that works for it all.

I have used Total Effects for two years now and I love it. My skin is very dry and after having my daughter a while ago, I got the brown spots. This product has restored my skin and no one ever believes that I am fixing to turn 50!!
