That's right - I am totally serious!!
The nice people at HP recently sent me their new TouchSmart 600 PC. I've been using a pretty ancient Dell and so I'm a little blown away first that I have a new computer and second by how fancy this thing is.
It's look and feel to me is somewhat like an I-Mac - the all in one kind of thing. It has a 23 inch screen - which let me tell you is big! And it's so easy and nice to use. And it has this crazy feature called Touch Smart. It's kind of like using an iPhone (sorry I keeping referring to Apple products - but I know a lot of us use them - and this is just as great or better!!). You can touch the screen and do all kinds of neat things. It has great photo editing, slide show and movie applications.
BooMama is giving one away too and we were both SUPER excited about this feature called "Recipe Box". She and I both love to cook and eat food and this just made our lives a lot easier. You can pull recipes from the Internet to put in it and then it can be voice activated to give you commands wherever you are. Basically - it reads off the recipe while you are in the kitchen cooking. I don't know about you - but I do a lot of running back and forth to my computer when I make stuff.
It can be mounted on the wall and you can use the wireless keyboard across the room. It has TV and DVR in it! :-) I know I couldn't be more excited about an extra DVR in our house (not that I would EVER want to watch more than 3 shows at one time). You can also do netflix and it has a blu ray player!
SO HERE IS THE COOL, AMAZING, MIND BLOWING PART:

I would love to have a new computer! I have a broken laptop that I use for my college courses; and my daughters have reached the age where they want to use a computer also.
I have the old HP that my kids used in college. They would absolutely faint if they came in on Christmas Day and saw I had a new computer. We have not had the resources to spend on a computer. But God is good. My husband has had colon cancer and we just got a cancer free report after chemo, and 3 surgeries. He carried me thru the valley when I thought there were no light but with faith all things are possible. If I could get the new computer I could still sponsor my greatest joy, my grandbabies. I'd LOVE a new computer! My laptop (affectionately known as "Stinkin' Dell") is dying a slow and painful death. It shuts down whenever it feels like it and frustrates me to no end. I am pretty much homebound and always will be due to health issues. Life gets lonely being home all the time. I feel like the blogs are my link to the outside world. I think of these bloggers as my friends as hokey as that sounds.
I have to spend a lot of time hooked to an iv getting treatments. I am lucky enough to have my own health care nurse but it still gets boring, being hooked up for about 6 hours at a time....funds are tight due to medical bills so I am making due on a little mini computer so that big baby looks like heaven to me :)
Our family would be so thankful for this computer. My boys could use it for their all their school projects.
I am a Kindergarten teacher and besides using this computer at home, I would love to have it in my classroom. I have an autistic child in my room currently as well as several English Language Learners. How awesome would it be to give those students the opportunity to use the most up to date technology!?!

Me and my husband are about to be first time parents so our expenses are targeted toward the little one due to be here any day so a new computer is not in the foreseeable future despite the need!

I got a brand new Macbook a few years ago and litterally days after my factory coverage lapsed it stopped working. I took it to get fixed and they said it would be cheaper to buy something new!! I was so sad and since have only been able to use my husbands old computer with no working cd drive and runds like a turtle! My husband has gone back to school and next semester he will be taking all online classes. If we won a new computer, we would not have to take turns with the laptop!

Wow, what an opportunity this is for me and my family! I am just starting a transcription business from home and an extra computer in the house would be such a blessing!
My daughter does much of her work for school on the computer as well as my husband does work at home sometimes! This would free us up in so many ways as well as provide an opportunity to add to the family budget through my work from home!!!
My husband is a Mac guy through and through, but I don't think he'd complain about a FREE computer!! Woot!!

Wow, that sounds incredible!! Our ancient computer is in our den and I live for recipe's on the internet. I can't tell you how many times I've been running through the house to the den to see the recipe I'm cooking in the kitchen. This has caused a few mishaps! =) I just can't get over how fun that would be! Here's hoping I get a surprise for Christmas!
