2nd Week - 3rd day

I'm so enjoying find out how you are all doing on the challenge

I'm still drinking the strawberry/orange/banana drink but I think tomorrow will be peach tea day!

I haven't lost anymore weight (yes I weigh twice a day every day and have for probably the last 18 years) but I haven't gained either.

Someone asked me what I was doing to try and lose weight?

I gained 35 pounds in my pregnancy and I lost all of it after about 2 months. I think that was a combination of having a 10 pound baby, being in the NICU for 3 weeks and not eating much due to stress, and breast feeding a baby who eats a LOT. ha! It was so much easier to get off the weight than I ever dreamed.

BUT I was 20 pounds heavier than normal when I got pregnant due to fertility drugs so that's what I'm working on now. I've lost 5 of those pounds and I still have 15 to go. I'm really not doing much besides daily walks (1 or 2 a day for a total of 1-2 hours) and trying to eat healthy but I still eat quite a bit and lots of sweets because I stay pretty hungry. I don't want to diet because I'm providing food for my baby and she needs a lot.

What are your weight loss secrets?

I wish I had a big secret to share. But really, just moderation and exercise! I'm not great at either! Having 3 kids and a firefighter husband leaves little "me" time....if I get to walk a couple times a weeks then I'm doin' good.

I had the same experience with my first child. The weight just fell off within three months of birth. I was ecstatic and never knew it would be so simple, and contributed it to the breastfeeding. Well, I breastfed my second for a year, as well, and he's now almost 3 and I'm STILL working on getting the weight off. I wish I had great tips for you. I've done Weight Watchers, NutriSystem, watching my carlories and lots of working out. It's been gradually coming off, but nothing like after my first baby. I'm currently on the UltraSimple diet, which means green tea breakfast, protein shake lunch and fish/veggies for dinner. So far, this has been the easiest and most productive diet I've tried. But, you couldn't do it while nursing. I'm also doing the 30-Day Shred at night and sometimes getting some lap swimming in early in the morning. Good luck!!!
